What you will learn
- Power Skating
- balance, advanced/single-leg edge work, using inside/outside edges, forward/backwards crossovers, tight turns etc.
- Stickhandling
- quick hands, wide hands, advanced stickhandling drills (Russian stickhandling drill), power-skating with puck, head fakes, checking etc.
- Shooting / Passing
- accurate shooting, wrist/snap shot, one touch passing etc.
- Goalie Training
- angles, positional skills, rebound control, butterfly, sliding, pushes, recovery, professional instruction, etc.
- Off-Ice Training
- hockey specific off-ice conditioning
- (dynamic warm-up, plyometrics, stretching, testing)
- Lecture
- daily discussions on different sport related topics e.g. nutrition, sportsmanship, discussion on what is a leader?/ what is a team? etc.
