What you will learn

  • Power Skating
    balance, edge work, lengthen stride, backwards, crossovers, pivoting etc.

  • Stickhandling
    basic puck handling, two hands, head up, power-skating with puck etc.

  • Shooting/Passing
    wrist shot, backhand shooting and passing, passing on the stick etc.

  • Goalie Specifics
    butterfly, balancing, pushes, glove saves, pad saves, professional instruction etc.

  • Off-Ice Training
    introduction to hockey specific off ice conditioning (dynamic warm-up, plyometrics, testing)

  • Lectures
    daily discussions on different sport related topics e.g. nutrition, sportsmanship, discussion on what is a leader?/ what is a team? etc.

  • Stickhandling
    quick hands, wide hands, advanced stickhandling drills (Russian stickhandling drill), power-skating with puck, head fakes, checking etc.

  • Shooting/Passing
    accurate shooting, wrist/snap shot, one touch passing etc.

  • Goalie Specifics
    angles, positional skills, rebound control, butterfly, sliding, pushes, recovery, professional instruction, etc.

  • Off-Ice Training
    hockey specific off-ice conditioning (dynamic warm-up, plyometrics, stretching, testing)

  • Lecture
    daily discussions on different sport related topics e.g. nutrition, sportsmanship, discussion on what is a leader?/ what is a team? etc.
